Foundations – From concept to reality
Construction finally begins
We submitted the building permit several months ago. Finally, the big day has arrived. Excavation work on the foundations is beginning.
The drawing we sketched on a piece of paper is now being carved into the earth. Our project is becoming a reality. We now realise that the project is underway.
The foundations and slab have been poured.
For several weeks, work accelerated. First, the excavations were dug, now matching the U-shape of our cottages.
Then the foundations were poured, which will form the base of our project. Next, the crawl space was installed. And finally, the slab that will support the entire cottage was poured.
Now the drying period begins. We will have to wait at least a month. Sometimes a month can seem like a very long time…
